ARTIST STATEMENT The Universe is so ridiculously large that unlikely things are bound to happen all the time. These non-boring events are happening everyday to millions of non-boring people: things that are exciting, and funny, and speak profoundly to the human existence. And I’m sure those other people do some stuff as well. So for your birthday I will buy you a card with a picture on the front and some text to let you know how important a birthday is (this might be on the inside or the outside). It should also probably say Happy Birthday on it somewhere too. For Chanukah I'm going to save my money and just get you that T-shirt you wanted, you know the one. For Arbor Day, I don't think I'm going to buy you anything at all, but I hope
you enjoy your afternoon just the same.

BIO Andrew Klein lives and works in San Francisco, California. In 2004 he earned his BFA from Carnegie-Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pa, concentrating in both painting and digital animation. His personal works have explored various subjects, none of them close enough to be entertaining in this sentence or act as a segue towards the next. He has however exhibited works in several states, and continues to actively create in California where he is a Full Time Faculty member for 3d Modeling and Texturing at the Art Institute of California, San Francisco. Andrew has created 3d assets for architectural and commerical projects as a freelance artist, and for Sony's virtual world HOME on the PS3. The artist likes dinosaurs and bacon, and wishes to someday visit outer space. Recent attempts to combine all three have only met with disaster. He can be reached at andrew@andrewklein.net, unless you are a ruthless spammer. |
