LINKS to Website Hosting Solutions:

You will need to create your own Portfolio website. If you aren't too savvy at the whole thing, there are several template based sites that can do most of the heavy lifting for you. They are easy to use and can be uploaded to through any web-browser. Many professional digital artist use sites like these, so do not fear them for that. You will need to set up an account and pay for their services however.

http://4ormat.com/

http://www.wix.com/
http://www.weebly.com/
http://www.blogger.com/
http://wordpress.com/
http://www.squarespace.com/
http://carbonmade.com/

--or-- create your own site and host off of providers like:
http://godaddy.com
http://secure.hostgator.com

--or-- if you have the know how and the hardware, you can design and host your own site, however unless you are extremely adept at technical elements, know CSS, HTML, and various other coding languages, and have a server with 99.999% uptime, then we do not recommend this solution.

You will need to provide me with the link to your site by week 3. It should be laid out and outlined with placeholder images (at the very least) by that point in time. The site itself will need to be completed with all work up by week 7. I will then update it to my portfolio registry at http://www.andrewklein.net/aiinfo_studentgallery.html

LINK to Video Hosting:

You will need to upload a web playable version of your reel by week 9 of the quarter to either of the following two links:
VIMEO
YouTube

The video should be in High Quality. Of the two sites, I personally prefer Vimeo for portfolios. You will then take your reel and embed it in your website.

LINK to AI Portfolio Site:

You will need to create your profile on http://ai.ourstudentportfolios.com/sanfrancisco/ by week 7 of the quarter (preferably earlier). Phillipa will come to class and discuss the importance of this site. You will need to upload samples of your work, your reel (without any copyrighted music), your resume, and your marketing statement to your portfolio page.

LINKS for print collateral:

You will need to create your Business Cards, Portfolio Show signage, and a printed portfolio (or a bound book) all by week 10 of the quarter.

For Signage and Business Cards, you may want to check out such places as:

http://www.psprint.com

For portfolios I would recommend:

For bound books I would recommend:
