MAA 1112: Drawing and Anatomy Continuing to develop the basic drawings course, students will focus on rendering life forms in space. Emphasis will be placed on the basic anatomical structures of human and animal forms.

We will look more at extreme perspective and using overlap of forms to convey space:

2. Rendered Animal Studies: On Bristol or good drawing paper: one (two for extra credit) full body anatomical/structural diagram (skeleton &/or muscles) studies from animal references. EXAMPLES OF STUDENT WORK:

3.Sketchbook: Studies of at least three animals' heads, feet & legs (paws, claws, hoofs, talions, beaks, wings, noses/snouts, etc.)

4. Simblet: (Leg & Foot) Pg. 140-159.
Materials for next week: Basics, color optional. Animal replicas/models & any animal reference materials-books, drawings, photo copies from libraries, internet, etc.
